Abstract (Croatian)

Kućni ljubimci zauzimaju sve važnije mjesto u svakodnevnom životu. Međutim često su i oni izloženi bolestima, tjelesnim ozljedama ili jednostavno starenju uslijed čega ostaju teško pokretni ili nepomični. U tim slučajevima vlasnici koriste različite vrste pomagala kako bi osigurali kvalitetniji život svojim ljubimcima. Vrlo često korišteno pomagalo su kolica za pse koja se koriste u slučaju otkazivanja ekstremiteta psa. U ovom radu opisana je biomehanika normalnog i nepravilnog hoda psa. Navedene su neke bolesti koje zahvaćaju lokomotorni sustav pasa i uzrokuju nepokretnost. Također, analizirano je postojeće stanje tržišta takvih pomagala i definirani su osnovni biomehanički zahtjevi koji se postavljaju na kolica za pse. U radu je dan i uvid u izbor suvremenih konstrukcijskih materijala pri stvaranju ovakvih proizvoda. Na temelju sakupljenih podataka izrađen je prijedlog konstrukcijskog rješenja kolica za pse.

Abstract

The role of pets in everyday life is more and more important. However, they are often exposed to diseases, injuries or simply aging, which makes them difficult to move or they become immobile. In these cases, owners use different types of aids to ensure a better life quality for their pets. Often used aids are wheelchairs for dogs. In this paper, biomechanics of normal and irregular walking is described. Some diseases that affect the locomotor system of dogs and cause immobility are explained. Also, the existing market condition of such aids has been analyzed and the basic biomechanical requirements for wheelchairs are defined. This paper gives a insight into the choice of modern design materials when creating such products. Based on the collected data, a proposal for a design of wheelchair for dogs was made.
