Abstract (Croatian)

U ovom radu je opisana je instrumentirana metoda indentacije; relativno nova metoda za ispitivanje tvrdoće i određivanje mehaničkih svojstava materijala. Metoda se temelji na kontinuiranom praćenju opterećenja prilikom utiskivanja i dubine indentacije otiska. Budući da instrumentirana metoda određuje modul elastičnosti tijekom mjerenja, kontaktna površina je od velikog značaja za određivanje tog svojstva. Određivanje funkcije kontaktne površine je određeno uporabom referentnog materijala. Prikazuje se usporedba između ove moderne metode i klasičnih metoda; Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell i Knoop, kao i prednosti korištenja instrumentirane nanoindentacije. Opisan je problem u proizvodnji oštrog vrha indentora za nanoispitivanja. Na temelju provedenih mjerenja izračunava projicirana površina Berkovich indentora i doneseni su zaključci.

Abstract

In this paper the instrumented indentation method, a relatively new method for hardness testing and determination of mechanical properties is decsribed. The method is based on the continuus monitoring of forde displacement curve during indentation. As the instrumented method has a determination of an Elasticity modulus, during measurement, the exact contact area is of a crucial significanse to determening that properie. Determening of the indented area function is cescribed, using a certified reference material. A comparisson between this modern method, and clasical Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell, and Knoop methods is given, as well as the advantages of using an instrumented indentation test. A problematic regarding producing a indentor with a sharp tip, with the emphasis on a Berkovich indentor is given. Based on the conducted measurements, area function of a used Berkovich indented is calculated, and conclusions have been made.
