Abstract (Croatian)

Ovaj rad bavi se problemom provođenja tolerancijske analize pomoću računala (eng. Computer-Aided Tolerancing (CAT)). Naglasak je posebno stavljen na statističkim metodama koje se koriste prilikom provedbe tolerancijske analize, i to posebno na Monte Carlo simulaciju. Korištenjem literature detaljno je objašnjen postupak provedbe tolerancijske analize. Također, objašnjena je i sama Monte Carlo simulacija. Na temelju primjera automobilskog konektora tvrtke Yazaki Europe Limited detaljno je prikazan cjelokupni postupak tolerancijske analize od pripreme modela do pokretanja analize i dobivanja rezultata. Za provedbu tolerancijske analize pristupom Monte Carlo korišten je računalni alata 3DCS Variation Analyst. Uz, Monte Carlo simulaciju provedena je i analiza osjetljivosti pomoću Geofactor i HLM analize. U radu su prikazani i komentirani rezultati svih provedenih analiza. Rezultati Monte Carlo analize uspoređeni su s onima dobivenim worst-case metodom te su komentirane razlike. Prednosti i mane svih korištenih metoda (Monte Carlo simulacije, HLM i Geofactor analize) detaljno su komentirane u diskusiji rada. Također, prikazane su prednosti i mane samog alata te prikazala opravdanost za njegovim uvođenjem u tvrtku.

Abstract

Computer-Aided Tolerancing (CAT) software utilisation in the industry is increasing rapidly. This thesis describes the concept of tolerance analysis methods, both computer-aided and manually performed, with a focus on statistical method – Monte Carlo simulation. Among many tools found on the market that deal with computer-aided tolerance analysis, most used is 3DCS Variation Analyst. Using this software to perform statistical tolerance analysis of automobile connector, which is a product of company Yazaki Europe Limited, results of Monte Carlo simulation and sensitivity analysis are shown. Sensitivity method is performed by using GeoFactor and HLM analysis. Results are shown and analysed. Also, the results of Monte Carlo simulation are compared with results of worst-case analysis and discussed. Finally, the pros and cons of used tools and methods are discussed in order to assess the possibility of using this tool within the product development process.
